Mike Tirico on LeBron’s tough game, problems with one-and-done

ESPN’s Mike Tirico joined the show after calling the Rockets’ overtime win over the Cavs on Sunday and LeBron missing two free throws in overtime.

Tirico said that if this had happened before LeBron won two titles “we’d shut down the network” talking about what’s wrong with LeBron.

Tirico also calls college games and said Kentucky is great for the sport. “To have an undefeated team has really given the sport a face,” Tirico said. “Without guys staying two or three years, the sport has been faceless.”

Tirico argued strongly against the one-and-done. He said guys should be in college for three years or go straight to high school. He said these young players aren’t playing well: “Go look at the NBA rookies in scoring. Find me a rookie that is participating and scoring in the playoff mix. You almost can’t find one.”
