Rick Pitino: Kentucky would be great regardless of rules
Louisville coach Rick Pitino joined the show to talk about the state of college basketball and more.
Dan asked Pitino how the sport can get more offense. Pitino said they need to follow the NBA’s lead. The NBA had a rough patch of calling lots of fouls to help offense counter tough defense. Pitino said college hoops needs to be patient and do the same thing.
Pitino also weighed in on the one and done. He said that you can’t blame John Calipari for what he’s doing at Kentucky. “John Calipari will have a great program regardless of the [rules],” Pitino said.
