Tony Dungy: Unrealistic to think Brady didn’t know state of footballs
NBC NFL analyst Tony Dungy joined the show to talk about the Wells Report on DeflateGate.
Dungy said that any quarterback knows even small changes in the football, just like a pitcher knows his baseballs. Dungy said it’s unrealistic to think that the equipment managers wouldn’t do something without Brady’s approval. Dungy said the NFL has always been tougher on performance-related infractions. He expects Brady to miss some “game time.”
Brady also weighed in on Chip Kelly. “I don’t think Chip is racist,” Kelly said. “Chip has a kind of person he likes.” He pointed to several of the African-American players Kelly favorited.
