John Smoltz said nerves during speech worse than playing

New Hall of Famer John Smoltz joined the show to talk about his induction speech this weekend.

Dan asked which was harder, the speech or pitching in a big ame. “This, by far,” Smoltz said.

Smoltz talked about why he wore a wig during the speech – to remind Greg Maddux that when they got together he had hair.

Smoltz also shared that he won the golf tournament and had “an absolute blast” in Cooperstown.
