MJD: Bears, Saints worst teams in NFL; says starting early safer for players

NFL Network’s Maurice Jones-Drew joined the show to talk about Week 2 and more.

Jones-Drew said the Saints and Bears might be the worst teams in the League. MJD said that’s the system — a team gets good and loses its coaches and players. “Right now, the Saints and the Bears are pretty bad,” Jones-Drew said.

Jones-Drew said that he’s in good health despite 2,000 carries. MJD said he only had two concussions so his mental state is fine. He said his 7-year-old son is playing. He thinks that the more you play, the more comfortable the player will be with taking hits. So playing from early on helps players get used to it and avoid injuries.
