Kerry Wood thinks this Cubs team a bona fide World Series threat
Former Cubs great Kerry Wood joined the show to talk about Chicago’s chances of making noise in the postseason.
Wood shared his preseason take on the Cubs: “This team could end up in the postseason or end up .500.” He credited manager Joe Maddon for helping lift them up.
Wood said when he played no one in the organization or city thought they were going to win the World Series. “Obviously that has changed,” Wood said.
Wood weighed in on current ace Jake Arrieta. “He’s a just an animal, but he’s a smart animal,” Wood said.
