Patrick Peterson on how he got caught on INT return, Palmer’s injury
Arizona Cardinals cornerback Patrick Peterson joined the show to talk about their successful season and more.
Peterson explained how he got caught by Ted Ginn Jr. on his INT return in the NFC Championship Game: “You have to block the intended receiver.”
Peterson also weighed in on Carson Palmer’s injury. “In my opinion,” Peterson said. “The finger did come into affect throwing the ball. He wasn’t on target [like] he was the 14 prior weeks.”
Dan asked Peterson if he’d prefer to cover a big WR like Larry Fitzgerald or a small shifty guy like Julian Edelman. “Edelman,” Peterson said, “just because in the New England system they run so many crossing routes …. it makes it tough for me running through traffic.”
