Blazers guard Damian Lillard discusses not making the All-Star team
Portland Trail Blazers guard Damian Lillard joined the show to talk about their season and more. Here are some of his comments:
— Lillard weighed in on not being named to the All-Star team: “I was more frustrated last season I thought I was going to be an All-Star. Because of last season, coming into this season, I was expecting the worst. It was a a little frustrating. I was in the top six in scoring and assists and my team was in seventh place coming into the All-Star Game. I was like wow … I don’t know what happened. I don’t think it was a fair vote.”
— Dan asked Lillard if he thinks they should move back the three-point line. He acknowledged that some players are making it look easy: “You look at Golden State, every time they step up to the line, you think ti’s good. And most of the time. I think you have a 4-point line. … maybe two feet behind the three-point line. …. I’m sure it’ll be deep. They don’t want guys coming down and getting 12 points in three possessions.
— Lillard, who raps, weighed in with his favorite performers. “I’m a big Tupac fan. I’m a big Nas fan. Right now I loke J Cole, Kendrick Lamar and Drake.
— Dan asked what he watches on TV. Lillard likes “Revenge.” Dan asked if he watched the Kardashians. “I’ve probably watched two episodes,” Lillard said. “I don’t like reality TV.”
