Clayton Kershaw doesn’t agree with Bryce Harper that game needs more flair

Dan discussed what was behind Dodgers pitcher Clayton Kershaw’s comments on Bryce Harper on Wednesday’s show. Here are Kershaw’s comments:

“If I ever had a son, who would I want him to watch play the game? I’d want him to watch Mike Trout, Paul Goldschmidt, Andrew McCutchen. The way they play the game … I would want my son to learn from that. I have a lot of respect for the way Bryce Harper plays. He plays hard. I don’t necessarily agree with the things he said in that article. I don’t think baseball needs flair. If you’re good enough, you just play the game. That’s how you get respect. I think he’s talking about making the game less boring. I think when those three guys play the game, that’s not very boring, that’s pretty exciting.”
