John Calipari: Jamal Murray could’ve moved into No. 1 discussion
Kentucky coach John Calipari said if Kentucky hadn’t lost to Indiana and the Wildcats kept playing, guard Jamal Murray would have played his way into the top of the NBA Draft.
“I believe Jamal Murray would have moved into the conversation for the No. 1 pick,” Calipari said.
He explained that Murray’s skills fit where the NBA is going. “The League is about stretching the court,” Calipari said. “My guy is 6-5, can dunk it any way you want, can create shots … he’s drawaing fouls…. he’s 19.”
