Nyquist trainer Doug O’Neill: 4-year old American Pharoah would kill 3-year olds
Dan asked Doug O’Neill, trainer of Nyquist, how American Pharoah would fare now against Saturday’s Kentucky Derby field now. “It’d be like Golden State playing your local junior college team,” O’Neill said. “It’s amazing how the solid three-year olds are at a disadvantage. … A four-year old version of American Pharoah would kick some but against this year’s three-year olds.”
