Patrick Peterson says Kobe Bryant is his Michael Jordan

Cardinals cornerback Patrick Peterson talked about how much Kobe Bryant means to him.

DP: What was it about Kobe that you liked?
PP: He reminded me so much of Michael Jordan. You know off the clips that I watched, because I didn’t have the chance to watch Michael play because I was fairly young.  I was born in 1990. And watching the clips and watching Kobe Bryant play … he reminded me so much of him — the tenacity that he played [with], the anger that he played [with].

DP: So you’re 8 years old and you fall in love with the lakers because of Kobe?
PP: Yeah it was like that guy, he’s my favorite basketball player.
DP: Could you imagine Kobe as a football player?
PP: I can. He would be like a Tyrann Mathieu.
DP: Yeah but Kobe’s 6’6”.
PP: That’s what I was going to say. His height is a little different. If he was a little shorter maybe 6-2ish I could see him playing maybe corner[back]. Especially in this day and age you need a big cornerback.

DP: He’d want to be a wide receiver.
PP: Probably so because he’s a guy that needs the ball.
