Davis Love III on challenges facing U.S. Ryder Cup team

Ryder Cup captain Davis Love III joined the show to talk about the challenges facing the U.S. team. Here are some of his comments….

— Love said the challenge now is to make everyone get together as a team. “We have fun when we go to the Ryder Cup and we want to win,” Love said. “But building a team that’s 12 strong is kind of tough to do. … We’re an individual sport. We’re trying to make a team out of 12 guys.”

— On his friend Michael Jordan’s role: “He’s an unofficial [member of the team] but he can have whatever he wants. He’s been at every Ryder Cup I’ve been to except 1993.”

 

– Love talked about getting inspiration from the Patriots at an even they did: “Tom Brady said it … Everybody wants to be around the golfers from every other sport. Because they all play golf.”
