Fogerty set the record straight that “Brown Eyed Handsome Man” was about Jackie Robinson, not Joe DiMaggio. At 80, he’s celebrating a milestone—finally regaining ownership of his songs after 50 years, thanks largely to his wife Julie. That victory inspired him to re-record his classics.
