King Defends NFL Ties
Peter King doesn’t hesitate to rank the Big Red Machine among the Top 5 lineups ever, calling them one of the greatest lineups of all time. He also offered perspective on today’s NFL, saying he actually likes ties, pointing to the Steelers-Lions 16-16 draw in 2021 that ended up affecting playoff spots. What he doesn’t like: an 18-game schedule or tinkering with overtime to eliminate ties. On kickers, King says the game wasn’t designed for kickers with this amount of range.
