Darling: Never Seen Anything Like Ohtani

Ron Darling, the MLB on TBS lead analyst, says he’s never seen anything like what Shohei Ohtani did on Friday. Three towering home runs and 10 strikeouts in one night. Darling called Ohtani’s pitching “incredible, especially after not consistently throwing all year,” and admitted he’s skeptical anyone will follow in Ohtani’s two-way footsteps. He praised the Dodgers’ deep, rested rotation and questioned modern strategy elsewhere: “We’re supposed to be in the smartest era of baseball, yet somehow we’re not walking Vladimir Guerrero Jr.”
