Mannix Breaks Down Egregious NBA Tanking

Sports Illustrated senior writer Chris Mannix says the NBA’s tanking problem has moved from subtle to blatant, pointing directly at Utah’s late game collapses as the most egregious example. He believes load management laid the groundwork, but now a third of the league appears disengaged before the All Star break. Proposed solutions range from heavy fines and lost draft picks to slashing lottery odds entirely. As for the All Star product, Mannix is skeptical stars truly care, and says the league is still searching for answers.
