Host of TSN’s Sportscenter Jay Onrait wasn’t about to let anyone diminish Shai Gilgeous-Alexander. “That’s our sweet baby boy,” he joked, defending Canada’s pride after a tough loss to Team USA in the gold medal match. Onrait believes the U.S. and Canada have been neck and neck for years, and claimed the 3v3 overtime can flip anything. Still, he admitted Canada “got goalied,” crediting Connor Hellebuyck for stealing the spotlight and the game.
