Izzo Opens Up about Flirting with NBA
Michigan State head coach Tom Izzo covered a lot during his appearance on today’s show. The Spartan head coach started with scheduling, pointing out his team faced elite groups like UConn, Duke, Illinois and multiple other deep tournament run teams. He also backed the Huskies Dan Hurley, calling his sideline intensity part of coaching, not something to overreact to. And finally, Izzo got honest about today’s college game, saying the transfer portal chaos is real, which at one point last season had him in deep discussion with the Phoenix Suns to be the team’s next head coach.
