NFL Continues to Move Toward 18 Game Schedule
Albert Breer explained how the NFL continues pushing toward a more television driven future, including removing many of the protections teams once had around international travel. Breer noted teams no longer automatically receive a bye week after overseas games. He also connected the delayed Super Bowl scheduling announcement to perhaps growing to an 18 game season. Beyond scheduling, Breer discussed how cities like Nashville and Washington are positioning themselves well with stadium projects and hotel growth, while places like Cleveland and Kansas City may still struggle to host the league’s biggest event despite passionate fanbases.
