Thibs $30 Million Goodbye

Yahoo Sport’s Vincent Goodwill joined the show today. Goodwill discussed the Knicks decision to fire Tom Thibodeau after what most considered a successful season. But success isn’t always about exceeding expectations. It’s about trajectory. If New York’s top brass didn’t think Thibs could get them over the hump, then Goodwill says he can make sense of the decision. Still, with $30 million left on his deal and no clear successor, it feels like a move made weeks ago. Dan Hurley? Rick Pitino? Jeff Van Gundy? Time will tell.
