McCoy On Dart Development, Stafford HOF Chances
Gerald McCoy joined DP to talk all things football, from running QBs to the MVP race. McCoy said Jaxson Dart needs to learn when to slide, noting, quarterbacks are paid for your arm, everything else is extra. He believes Jonathan Taylor could win MVP if he stays consistent, especially in a year without a dominant quarterback. McCoy also called Matt Stafford a surefire Hall of Famer and agreed that pressures can be just as disruptive as sacks. “Watch the tape,” he said. “Guys like Maxx Crosby ruin games and it doesnt always show up on the stat sheet.”
