A Familiar Ending Finally Led to Change

Pittsburgh Post-Gazette’s Gerry Dulac joined the show today. Dulac broke down Mike Tomlin and the Steelers finally hitting a breaking point after nine straight one-and-done playoff exits that felt increasingly uncompetitive. He believes Mike Tomlin stepped away on his own, sensing the moment, rather than being fired. Dulac expects Pittsburgh to move quickly toward a younger, defensive-minded coach, a path the Rooneys have historically handled well. With Tomlin gone, Aaron Rodgers likely is not in the plans as the Steelers pivot toward a long-term quarterback vision. No player, Dulac said, is untouchable.
