Bridges on Being NBA Champion

Fresh off a championship, Mikal Bridges reflected on the Knicks’ title run, revealing how head coach Mike Brown kept the team focused during the legendary 29-point comeback. On Finals MVP Jalen Brunson, Bridges praised  the captain for his elite footwork, shot-making and relentless work ethic he first witnessed at Villanova. He also shared how sitting out a year in college taught him patience and helped shape his career. Bridges credited owner James Dolan for stepping outside his comfort zone to address the team before the playoffs and joked that everyone, including Spike Lee, deserves a championship ring after ending New York’s 53-year drought.
