Barkley breaks down Finals, rips anti-LeBron sentiment

TNT’s Charles Barkley joined the show to share his thoughts on the NBA Finals. Here are some of his takes:

—  Barkley was surprised by how easily the Spurs won. “It was a pick ’em series,” Barkley said. “I don’t think there was anyone who would say they would end it with three straight blowouts.”

— Barkley thinks Tim Duncan and Gregg Popovich could very well go out on top.

— Barkley thinks the Spurs’ win was an incredible redemption story and credits them for how they responded to last year’s Finals.

— Barkley can’t understand why people rip LeBron James: “It’s like fake criticism to get people to call your radio show.

— Barkley said it’s easy to say it’s smart for Carmelo Anthony to forsake $35 million to join a winner, but it’s not your $35 million. Barkley looked at other options like Houston and Chicago. He said the Rockets probably have the most talent and there are some health question marks with the Bulls.

— Barkley thinks Kevin Love is the best power forward in the game and whoever gets him will be a much better team.

— Barkley weighed in with his list of great players.
