Mike Pereira explains proposed NFL rule changes

FOX’s Mike Pereira joined the show to explain the NFL’s proposals to change rules for player safety.

Pereira said that this is the time of year they normally change rules, so they can’t stop talking about these things because of the lockout. “They gotta look at business as usual moving forward,” Pereira said.

Pereira had an interesting explanation of the changes the NFL is considering on kickoffs. They want to make it easier for kickers to kick it into the end zone. “There are certain plays in this game that seem to linger in the minds of people,” Pereira said.  He said this is a complete shift for the competition committee, which used to love the return because it was exciting.”

Pereira said this will probably pass. “Owners traditionally do not vote against safety proposals,” Pereira said.
