Chris Mannix says Nets got player they can build around
SI.com’s Chris Mannix joined the show to talk about the Nets trading for Utah point guard Deron Williams.
Mannix thinks this is a blockbuster that will pay huge benefits for the Nets. “If I had to start a team with the point guard, it’d be Deron Williams,” Mannix said.
Mannix thinks that Williams will help bring new players to Brooklyn when the Nets move over there.
Mannix did say the Jazz got a lot in return. He said rookie Derrick Favors still has a lot of upside.
Mannix didn’t think Williams is the reason that Jerry Sloan left Utah.
Mannix, however, still feels that the Lakers and Celtics are the teams to beat.
