Pitino says Big East deserves 11 in Tourney
Louisville coach Rick Pitino joined the show to talk about this week’s Big East Tournament and more.
Dan asked how many teams Big East teams will reach the NCAA Tournament. “I don’t think there’s any question it will be 11,” Pitino said.
Dan asked Pitino if Marquette deserves to make the Tournament. “Without question they are a quality basketball team and deserve to be in,” Pitino said.
Dan asked Pitino the last time the NBA called. “Last year, and it was a very cold place,” Pitino said.
But Pitino thinks that it’s a young man’s game in the NBA because of the travel. “College is for me. I like developing young players both on and off the court.”
