Goodman: Officials worn down in Rutgers loss
FOXSports.com’s Jeff Goodman joined the show to talk about the end of the Rutgers-St. John’s game and the blown calls.
Goodman said age is a big factor for officials. “You got guys in there 60s who are working way too much during the season and they’re worn down,” Goodman said.
Goodman did say he talked to the head of NCAA officials and there will be several rookie officials in the NCAA Tournament.
Goodman also dove into the Tournament seeds. “I would take Notre Dame in a heartbeat for that No. 1 seed over Duke,” Goodman said. “[Duke] really doesn’t have the resume to be a No. 1 seed.”
Goodman said Ohio State has a No. 1, Kansas will get one if it gets to the Big 12 finals, and Pitt and Notre Dame should round out the top seeds.
Goodman’s sleeper is Richmond. He said they have good players and a different system.
