Larry Bird comments on Pacers, Jimmer, Hansbrough

Hall of Famer and Pacers president Larry Bird joined the show to talk about

— Bird on Jimmer Fredette: “The best in college basketball. He can get the ball in the hole from anywhere.”

— Dan asked Bird if he had a green light like Fredette in college. “I had a green light since I was in grade school,” Bird said.

— Bird had nice things to say about Pacers rookie Tyler Hansbrough. “He’s going to be a big scorer in our league,” Bird said.

— Bird said that when he was on a role, he could make 95 out of 100 from anywhere on the court.

— Bird said the Pacers need to grow up. They start four guys with three years or less of experience. “I like the direction we’re going because our young players are getting better,” Bird said.

— Bird talked about how much he disliked All-Star games because he was more of a ballplayer than a showman.
