Charles Barkley breaks down NCAA Tournament
Barkley commented on all the close finishes. He said even veteran players get nervous, let alone young players. Barkley commented on the wild Butler-Pitt finale.
“I can’t defend the kid from Pitt,” Barkley said. “There’s no excuse for that.”
Barkley also evaluated the big players in the Tourney. He is a bit worried about Ohio State star Jared Sullinger.
“When he plays against bigger guys, that’s going to be interesting to watch,” Barkley said. “He doesn’t use a lot of Kevin McHale-like moves. … His whole life he’s been bigger than everyone else.”
Barkley also is a bit concerned about Jimmer Fredette. He said he’s like “Curly Neal” — trying to do everything by himself and not getting his teammates involved.
