Jeff Goodman previews Sweet 16 matchups
FOX’s Jeff Goodman joined the show to share his thoughts on the Sweet 16 and the rest of the NCAA Tournament.
Goodman thinks the whole nation is rooting for Jimmer Fredette and BYU to go to the Final Four. But Goodman said that Fredette plays absolutely zero defense. He thinks teams should attack Fredette on the defensive side.
Goodman also had interesting comments on Arizona. He said they’re relevant by accident. The Wildcats weren’t supposed to get Derrick Williams — he fell into their laps. But Goodman thinks that the ‘Cats could win anyway if Kyrie Irving doesn’t play any better. He said that he watched Irving up close and he’s at 70 percent right now.
Goodman said he likes Butler over Wisconsin. “I’m not ever betting against Matt Howard again,” Goodman said. He thinks Howard is a great person and a great player.
