Clay Buchholz comments on Red Sox’ slow start, no-hitter etiquette
Boston Red Sox starter Clay Buchholz joined the show to talk about their early-season struggles.
Dan asked Buchholz the expectations this year. “We have the team to win the World Series this year,” Buchholz said. He said that he knows the number are against them with this kind of start, but he thinks the team is good enough to overcome this.
Buchholz told a funny story about his no-hitter as a rookie. He was supposed to buy the catcher something, but was young and didn’t know the groundrules. He said he brought in a bunch of McDonald’s.
Buchholz had an interesting description on Red Sox reliever Bobby Jenks: “The coke machine with legs.”
