Chris Mannix says Blazers will knock off Mavericks in first round

Chris Mannix joined the show in studio.

SI.com’s Chris Mannix joined the show to talk about the upcoming NBA playoffs and some of the other big storylines around the NBA. Here are some of his takes:

— Mannix’s biggest upset is Portland knocking off Dallas in the first round of the playoffs. He likes the Blazers in seven games.

— Mannix thinks that the Knicks will give the Celtics a run, but New York can’t win.

— Mannix said that the Lakers have the hardest road they’ve had in three years. And Andrew Bynum’s knee situation could be tricky.

— Mannix thinks Chris Webber’s efforts to keep the Kings in Sacramento is a joke, because there’s no way he has the money. He thinks the Kings are headed to Anaheim. And he thinks that Anaheim can support a team, even with the Clippers and Lakers in the area.

— Mannix is for contraction. He thinks that New Orleans is a great candidate for the NBA to eliminate.

— Mannix isn’t surprised the Knicks are taking a while to figure it out. That’s the way it works. Mannix said the Heat had all preseason and still haven’t figured it out.
