Cedric Maxwell says Celtics will in five, ‘Melo should take big shot

WEEI Celtics analyst Cedric Maxwell joined the show to discuss the Boston-New York series.

“My major concern is what happened last night on the offensive glass,” Maxwell said. He said the Knicks are killing them with offensive rebounds and make this a longer series. But Maxwell thinks that the Celtics are just more talented and should win in five games.

Maxwell thinks the Knicks are still trying to figure out their pecking order. It’s not totally clear who’s the man, Carmelo Anthony or Amar’e Stoudemire. Maxwell thinks ‘Melo shouldn’t apologize for taking last-second shots. He’s there to take the big shot.

“You didn’t get him there to be a facilitator,” Maxwell said about Anthony.
