Mannix surprised by Grizzlies, says refs shouldn’t have ejected Pierce
Sports Illustrated’s Chris Mannix joined the show to break down all of the NBA playoff series.
Mannix was surprised the Grizzlies beat the Thunder. He didn’t think Memphis’ Zach Randolph would be able to score that easily against Oklahoma City’s big frontline. He and Dan both agree the Thunder need to stop settling for jumpers if they hope to win this series.
Mannix weighed in on Paul Pierce being ejected. He thinks refs shouldn’t kick out star players late in the game.
Mannix also commented on what the Dallas Mavericks have to do to counter the Lakers. He thinks that Tyson Chandler needs to play really big and Jason Kidd needs to perform like he did in the series against Portland.
