Kevin Ding says Lakers not playing as a team, showing fatigue
Orange County Register reporter Kevin Ding joined the show to talk about the Lakers falling into an 0-2 hole against the Mavericks.
Ding tried to explain Andrew Bynum’s statements about the Lakes nee “The thing about Andrew is he doesn’t have much of a filter,” Ding said. “I think he really was trying to talk about how poor they were at team defense. … Andrew’s sort of the leader of that team defense. … He stopped helping guys because people weren’t getting his back.”
Ding said that there’s a lack of teamwork right now and pointed out Kobe Bryant never practiced with the team to save his legs. Ding said the Lakers have cut corners and it’s showing up now.
Dan asked if the Lakers look fatigued and if playing deep into the playoffs so often has caught up to them. “There’s definitely a toll there,” Ding said. “It’s not just physical. There’s a mental toll there.”
