Tim Tebow talks about status with Broncos, comparisons with Cam
Denver Broncos quarterback Tim Tebow joined the show to talk about his offseason and more.
Dan asked Tebow if he was the starting quarterback. Tebow said that he’s looking forward to competing, but wouldn’t say either way.
Tebow also said he’s excited that the Broncos took Von Miller, who he called “a high character” guy.
Tebow admitted that he and Cam Newton have a lot in common. They both won the Heisman, a title, played in spread offenses, went to Florida, etc.
Tebow said he used to race Cam all the time, and they would both win various competitions.
Dan asked him what advice would you give the rookie quarterbacks. Tebow said: “Be humble. Take everything in. Work as hard as you possibly can. You need to be the first one in and the last one to leave.”
Tebow talked about his Twitter strategy. He said he likes it to keep in touch with fans.
Tebow said he thinks Urban Meyer will coach again. But he’s proud that he stepped down, and said it took a lot of “courage” and “backbone” to make that decision.
