Tom Verducci argues baseball more interesting to fans with better pitching

SI’s Tom Verducci joined the show to talk about pitchers dominated so far this season and what it means.

Verducci argues the trend has nothing to do with weather. He said last year hitting dropped every month, and this is a bigger thing.

Verducci also doesn’t think that attendance is tied to home runs. He thinks people want close games, not 12-2 games.

“I don’t think we’ve sucked so many home runs out the game that it’s tough to watch,” Verducci said. “I think we’ve sucked enough out to make it [more interesting],” Verducci said.
