Sam Smith on state of Chicago Bulls, odd choice for Lakers

Bulls.com reporter Sam Smith joined the show to talk about the Bulls’ overtime loss in Game 4 of the Eastern Conference Finals.

“The attitude was, they were shocked they loss,” Smith said. “They really think they’re better, because of the size, the defense, the rebounding, the hustle.”

Smith commented on coach Tom Thibodeau’s statements after the game on Derrick Rose not getting calls. He said that the real problem is that no one else on the Bulls can score in a big situation, so Rose just has to throw his body in there against a ton of defensive attention.

Smith also commented on Mike Brown being the front-runner to take over the Lakers. Smith doesn’t get it. “That market is a bit over his head,” Smith said.

Smith thinks Rick Adelman would be a better fit for the Lakers, since his big-man passing game would fit well with that group of players.
