Harold Reynolds comments on Posey injury, Albert Pujols
MLB Network analyst Harold Reynolds joined the show to talk about the big stories around baseball.
Reynolds said that Scoutt Cousins didn’t mean to hurt Buster Posey. It was a fluke play. But Reynolds thinks that play is part of baseball and doesn’t need a lot of tweaking.
Dan asked Reynolds why people seemed to have been pitching to Albert Pujols. Maybe they weren’t as scared of Pujols early in the season. But Reynolds said those days are gone. “He’s got it going on now, so look out,” Reynolds said.
Reynolds said that 3,000 hits is more likely to happen again before 300 wins. He thinks the main reason is that teams to go the bullpen early and that can cost starters wins.
Reynolds and Dan got into an argument about A-Rod and Cameron Diaz. Dan called her a September call-up. Reynolds thinks she’s a frontline starter.
Reynolds also weighed in on the draft. He said check it out because there is no clear-cut No. 1 and it should be interesting.
