Jonathan Vilma says Saints players practicing hard
New Orleans Saints linebacker Jonathan Vilma joined the show to talk about how the team is doing during the Lockout.
Vilma updated us on the Saints’ informal workouts. “We have about 80 percent of our team,” Vilma said.
Dan asked if Reggie Bush was around. Vilma said he was at Heath Evans charity Softball game, but hasn’t worked out with them. But Vilma said that Bush is still part of the team.
Vilma said he’s running the defensive meetings and Drew Brees is running the offensive side. Dan asked what kind of coach he’d make. “I would be terrible as a coach,” Vilma said. “My expectations are what they are because of the way I play. It’s hard for me to grasp why a guy would be lazy. I can’t work with guys like that.” Vilma said he can’t talk to his real coach Sean Payton … even accidentally.
