Mike Milbury explains Thelma & Louise comments, comments on Final’s intensity

NBC NHL analyst Mike Milbury joined the show to talk about the Stanley Cup Final.

Milbury said that Vancouver fans weren’t happy he called the Sedin twins Thelma and Louise. Milbury explained that if the Bruins keep chasing them, they’ll probably head off a cliff. Milbury said the Bruins need to spend a lot of energy to stop them, which is a positive. But he expected more.

Milbury said that the more intense team will win. “Whoever wins can say they’ve earned it,” Milbury said.

Milbury said that Bruins goalie Tim Thomas could be the MVP of the series even if the Canucks win. “You have to think he is a strong candidate for the Conn Smythe,” Milbury said.

Milbury explained that he has a 6-foot-10 bodyguard, so that’s why he’s not that scared when people in the arena get angry at him.
