Jazz’s Corbin says Fredette better passer than people think
Utah head coach Tyrone Corbin joined the show to talk about the upcoming NBA draft. The Jazz have the No. 3 and No. 12 picks.
Corbin worked out Jimmer Fredette and thinks he can play point guard in the NBA. “His passing is underrated and people will see that when he gets to the next level and doesn’t have to carry his team,” Corbin said.
Corbin commented on the pressure to draft Fredette in Utah. He acknowledged there is pressure, but said they won’t buckle to that pressure if Fredette’s not the “right fit.”
Corbin also commented on former UConn guard Kemba Walker. The Jazz worked him out and said Walker came in in great shape. “He’s a little bit quicker than I thought he was,” Corbin said.
Corbin said he doesn’t know who will be available at No. 3. He said he’s hearing all sorts of things.
