Kyrie Irving talks about draft, Cleveland, flopping at Duke
NBA draft prospect Kyrie Irving joined the show to talk about what he expects to happen this week.
Dan asked Irving if he goes to Cleveland, how does he feel about trying to follow LeBron James.
“I’m not really looking to be the next LeBron James,” Irving said. “Unless I grow about six inches in the next week or so.”
Irving had some details on where he’s at heading into the draft. He said the toe injury is completely healed. Dan asked Irving his height and weight: With shoes, 6-3 1/2, 190 pounds. Ding.
Irving said if he had one concern it was all the downtime in the NBA.
Dan told Irving that he probably didn’t learn as much as he thought at Duke. He learned to flop, but he didn’t learn NBA trash-talking. “There is no flopping at Duke,” Irving said.
