Robinson Cano talks about Jeter approaching 3,000 hits

Yankees second baseman Robinson Cano joined the show to talk about the state of the team as the All-Star Game approaches and Derek Jeter approaching his 3,000th hit.

“I feel so happy for him,” Cano said, “because he’s a great player and a great person.”

Dan asked Cano if there’s one thing he could take from the game, it’d be his bat. If not that, the batting glove.

Cano talked about how he generates power. He said that he almost never tries to hit home runs, unless it’s the ninth inning or extra innings and he can end it with one swing.

Dan asked Cano who he would not want to face in the Yankees linup. He said CC Sabathia. Ironically, Sabathia said Cano is the one Yankee he wouldn’t want to face.
