Robert Lusetich says it’s unfair to compare Rory to Tiger
FOX golf analyst Rober Lusethich joined the show to talk about the British Open and the conditions at Royal St. George’s.
Lusetich said the wind has died down. It was a real problem yesterday and if it had kept up, Lusetich would have made it hard to break 80.
Lusetich said that Rory McIlroy didn’t do much his first day — a 71. But in this tournament, that doesn’t mean he’s out of it by any means, because all the leaders could fall apart.
Lusetich, however, thinks the hype for McIlroy is a little bit much. “The expectations for me are just a little too much,” Lusetich said. “So many people think Rory is the new Tiger. That’s big shoes to fill.”
