Solotaroff talks about interviewing James Harrison

Men’s Journal editor Robert Solotaroff joined the show to talk about his profile of Pittsburgh Steelers linebacker James Harrison.

Solotaroff said he spent about four days with Harrison. “If James were a one-act play, the stage direction would be ‘enter ranting,'” Solotaroff said.

Solotaroff said that people calling Harrison a “thug” don’t know what they’re talking about. He was raised middle-class by strict parents.

Solotaroff said everyone on the Steelers defense loves Harrison. But he said that the coaching staff and people around there are scared of him.

Solotaroff said that he talked to Harrison yesterday and they’re good. Solotaroff said that Harrison asked him if he said the “fa—t” word. Solotaroff said that Harrison said that word on tape.

Solotaroff said that the NFL is racist for targeting Harrison. Solotaroff said that the NFL hasn’t fined many top-flight white players.
