Brian Billick breaks down NFL free agency

FOX NFL analyst Brian Billick joined the show to talk about the wild week in free agency and what’s next around the league.

Billick had an interesting take on how fans have reacted after the Lockout. “I don’t know if we give the fans enough of a respite,” Billick said. “I think this little respite away from it is healthy.”

Billick commented on the Philadelphia Eagles’ signings.  “It’s impressive what they’ve done,” Billick said. “Andy Reid and those guys rival the Patriots with what they do every year.”

Billick thinks the Eagles, Packers and Saints are the three teams to beat. Billick thinks the Eagles are the team that helped themselves the most.

Dan asked Billick why the Patriots can sign guys with checkered pasts and not get criticized. “They’ve earned it,” Billick said. “They do have the track record.”

Billick said New England can make certain moves because Bill Belichick does everything. The Patriots coach doesn’t have to answer to anyone if something goes wrong.
