Prince Fielder on fighting, Pujols, football

Milwaukee Brewers first baseman Prince Fielder joined the show to talk about his season

— Fielder said he wouldn’t play high school football because they would post his weight. He said he didn’t want girls to know his weight. He said he was over 300 pounds.

— Fielder talked about the fight in last night’s game against the Cardinals. He said it really wasn’t that big of a story. “Nobody got hurt,” Fielder said. “Whatever. You don’t want to make too big a deal of it.”

— Dan asked if he considers himself an equal of Albert Pujols. “No, I don’t think so,” Fielder said. “I think I have a lot more years to play at the level I’ve been playing at. He’s been doing this for 10 years.”

Fielder said that he hopes we haven’t seen his best game yet. He hopes to be a better average hitter.

— Fielder said the toughest guy to face is the Braves’ Jonny Venters.

— Fielder said people thinks he was named after Prince. Dan asked how many Prince’s make one Prince Fielder. “Five,” Fielder said.
